Prospective corpers are wondering why the NYSC has decided to shift Batch A which is usually held around March to May. Also The NYSC via its newer twitter handle has stated the fact that only two batches will be run next year, 2015. How the NYSC is going to make this successful is still a source of concern with thousands of graduates waiting line to be mobilized due to the academic strikes of 2014. We are all waiting for the NYSC management to make official statements on these decisions.

How NYSC disseminates information is also a source of concern. For example, this 2015 ‘A’ timetable is no where on the home page right now as I’m posting this but the timetable is buried within the site. What we have on there is the time table for Batch ‘C’ 2014. Yes, we know NYSC is a governmental organization but we expect things to get better with the new DG Brig. Gen. Olawunmi. He had a twitter chat with Omojuwa earlier this year and cleared the air on a lot of issues and since then, information has always been made available as soon as decisions have been reached. During the last orientation camp, as he went on a tour of Orientation camps in the country, his twitter account tweeted live pictures and news from the events. However, it still takes ages before it pops up on the official website making corps members to put enough trust in some critical information.
