The DG wants to know if you have received your N13k INEC Duty Allowance
Over the weekend, the Director General of the NYSC, Brig Gen. Olawumi Johnson expressed concerns on the delay of payment of corps members’ INEC election duty allowance.
On Saturday, he requested all corps members that participated in the elections to exercise patience, that everyone will be paid. The Official twitter account, @NYSC_NG tweeted that the DG “has been very concerned about this. Nobody will rob you of your entitlements.”
The approved allowance for corps members participation in each of the elections has been broken down:
- Honorarium – ₦9,000 per election
- Transportation -₦3,000 per election
- Feeding allowance -₦1,000 per election
Also if you participated in the March 28 elections but you’re yet to receive your allowance IN FULL, the DG has requested such persons to tweet send their details to @NYSC_NG. That is , your Name, State code and phone number. Also, do mention the amount you’ve received.

Finally, you should tweet back (@NYSC_NG) if by 6PM Tuesday you still haven’t received the said allowance.
This allowance your typing here is not right @ all. So, u expect us to feed wt 1k throughout d day abi? U guys are really amazing. No wonder u negotiated wt Inec not to let us know how much dey’ll pay us so dat we won’t bck off. If d DG can’t protect d interest of corp members, am really disappointed. & calling on d FG to scrap off Nysc. Its becoming corrupt every passing day. Am disappointed in d Nigerian Government & NYSC i must say….
