DIARY OF A RELUCTANT CORPER: THE LETTER

I’m in panic attack mode right now ?! I don’t know if it’s only me or some other prospective corpers feel this.

So my posting came out yesterday and NYSC surprised everyone. Like really, surprised everyone. Everyone who had an inside man, including me, got disappointed.
I wanted to serve in Abuja, where I’m living currently, close to home and all but apparently NYSC had other ideas.
I did get posted to Nasarawa though… I guess I should be grateful for something. Keffi doesn’t seem so far away or bad either. My friends on the other hand got the worst of it. ? Lol… I have this one friend called Kate, who was so sure she would get posted to Lagos. My friend even made living arrangements already and was getting ready for the flex life till yesterday.?? ? She got posted to Gombe. Another one who was so sure she was going to stay in Abuja got posted to Katsina and another one to Imo State.

I was calm at some point but then I heard of this ritual of carrying your stuff on your head from sign in point to dorm.?
Now I don’t mean to sound like a brat or something but I planned on carrying two boxes for convenience. This changes everything. I’m pretty sure by the end of the day my white clothes would’ve become brown or yellow or something.
That’s a possibility.
But I’m sure everything will be fine. I’m just ranting. I’ll make sure to keep you updated.
