Corper Found Dead in Ilorin

Corper Yetunde Shukurat Idowu ‘s corpse was found around GRA Ilorin on Sunday night.
Miss Idowu who was posted by the National Youth Service Corps to serve in Kwara State hails from Ogun State. The Lagos-based corper was serving at the State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Kwara, Ilorin.
However, her family has been contacted while her corpse was released on Monday.
The deceased served with the state broadcasting coprpation, (Radio Kwara), Ilorin.
The Police, who is still investigating, say they cannot conclusively say if it is a case of abduction or ritual killing simply because there are no missing body parts. “It could be a case of a hit and run careless driver or an accident outrightly.” says the Police PPRO.
“I can’t confirm that she was raped because all the examinations conducted on her does not show any sign of rape and we are still investigating but I cannot say exactly what happened.
The corpse was a reported case of “found dead” with a broken skull and bruises. The police have promised to continue investigating the case.
She was last seen after she’d gone to popular shopping mall, Shoprite along Fate street. Her colleagues who hadn’t seen her since she left, looked around until her body was found on a street in GRA Ilorin. Her colleagues are speculating that Yetunde might have been offered a ride as she left the mall because she was found in an area totally off her route.
NYSC on their part have done the needful by contacting her family. On speculations as to what actually killed the corps member, the state NYSC PRO, Oladipo Morakinyo said that “It is only the medical expert that can diagnose what actually killed her and this is beyond the scope of our scheme.”
